Felting Workshop @ St Luca School, Sofia

Niki has been invited by the St. Luka school principal to present her practice and teach feltmaking. 

Using the ancient art of knotmaking the participants would create their own beatiful symbols of home, love and spirituality.

About St Luka’s School

The National High School of Applied Arts “St. Luke” – Sofia is a national cultural institution with history and established authority among art schools and higher art institutes in the country.

Founded in 1953 as a small craft school on the outskirts of the city, today it has the status of a National High School and since 2008 has been housed in a building that is an architectural monument of culture, built in 1922–1929 according to a design by architect Mikhail Pushkarov.

Over 400 students study here in eight majors: Artistic Woodcarving, Artistic Fabric, Artistic Metal Processing, Children’s Toys and Souvenirs, Advertising Graphics, Silicate Design, Spatial Design and Fashion Design.
